This week in Wine Back Wednesday I have a look at @piccadillyvineyards 2021 Piccadilly Circus Blanc de blancs.

Hailing from the UK, Ali and Mark Lewis brought the family to SA in 2014 and headed to the cool climate of the Adelaide Hills. The original vineyard was planted in 1987 and since then they have added a bit more. This Blanc de blancs made from 100% Chardonnay uses the three clones now planted on site in Piccadilly Valley, Mendoza, I10V1 and G9V7.

Hand picked, whole bunch pressed and fermented in older French oak. 24 months tirage, then disgorged, resulting in a fresh, vibrant aperitif style Aussie fizz!

Even the crickets were chatty!
