Important details
The Houdini wines are Matt's introduction to easy drinking styles. They are soft, gently structured and made for simple enjoyment – the kind of wines that suit a Monday to Friday dinner as easily as a weekend gathering.
Houdini fruit comes from the same trusted vineyard sources as the more detailed wines in the Smidge portfolio. After ferment, each parcel is matured in French oak for 10 to 18 months, then tasted blind by Matt at six months.
The softer, lighter, more open wines are chosen for Houdini. Those with more depth or structure find their way into White Label, Pedra Branca, S or Magic Dirt.
